Despite advancing to the medal rounds, Australian boxer Caitlin Parker ultimately lost her semi-final bout to Li Qian of the People’s Republic of China in the women’s 75kg category, earning a bronze medal for her remarkable performance. Li Qian, who won the semi-final bout by unanimous decision, went on to claim the gold medal by defeating Atheyna Bylon of Cuba.
