Junior and Youth World Champion Jajaira Gonzalez (Glendora, Calif.) and 2022 Youth World Champion Yoseline Perez (Houston, Texas) have been added to the 2023 USA Boxing High Performance Team following the recent Athlete Replacement Selection Camp in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Gonzalez, who was the squad member at 57 kg, will move up to 60 kg for the remainder of the year, while Perez will now be the team member at 54 kg. Both boxers replace former USA Boxing High Performance team members removed from the team following disciplinary actions.

The recent camp also solidified squad members in six weight classes, with the women’s 57 kg squad member to be determined at a later date. Full team and squad rosters can be seen below.

Three female squad members were confirmed, Jasmine Hampton (Ann Arbor, Mich.), 54 kg; Faith Mendez (Ocala, Fla.), 60 kg; and Kendra Samargis (Twin Falls, Idaho), 75 kg, while Carlos Flowers (Dover, Del.) is now the 71 kg squad member, with Amir Anderson (Syracuse, N.Y.) moving to 80 kg and Ben Turla (Kansas City, Mo.) taking the 92 kg squad position.
