We wanted to update everyone regarding the recent arbitration decision regarding the Amir Anderson vs. Obed Bartee-El bout in Lafayette, La., at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Boxing.
The Arbitrator overturned the decision of the Judicial Committee Hearing Panel, thereby reinstating Anderson’s victory in the bout. As a result, he will face Steven Colome in the semi-final, and the winner will advance to face Lugo in the final of the Olympic Trials. These bouts will take place this weekend alongside the National Silver Gloves tournament in Independence, Mo.
